time to welcome more new, undiscovered talent to the fold, this time we give you sheffield producer thatmanmonkz with an amazing ep entitled please dont slip, trip or fall off. thatmanmonkz came to our attention last year when his track that would be alright appeared on tone control music. the low slung, bluesy inflections combined with moodymann-esqe vocals and deep pads had us instantly hooked so when he presented us with three brand new tracks for delusions of grandeur we literally bit his hand off.

after a long break of releasing music on eintakts sublabel * rare* we are happy to present the comeback with the new rare vinyl, produced by bendejo. the things you do ep combines tracks with a chordy deephouse mood and classical, maybe even a bit experimental ideas. the splendid voice of irina radovic, who benne met at a recording of her band at university rounds up the house vibes and gives tracks for the dance floor (things you do, dont care) whilst dubidu and ecpecially autumn afternoon make you feel rather dreamy, still having the house groove going on.

after first appearing on dont be afraid in 2010 as a remixer, the mighty mr. g is back with a solo ep for the dancefloor-aimed dba special editions series.

title track don t stop is a loose and playful thing that chucks loopy, circular drums, little vocal riffs, synth stabs and tumbling toms into the mix and lets them all groove along for almost six infectious minutes. its a spritely, silvery and slithering concoction that makes you shake your every limb. stare is a deeper, darker thing with rattling snares rolling over flappy kick drums and wobbling synths ducking in and out of the space left behind. its a tumultuous, drum lead affair that toys with your expectation, threatening to drop or explode but never quite doing so, instead keeping you right on the edge of your seat throughout. the final offering is nian which again has super well defined drums and hits all tumbling and sparking off each other. it s spacious stuff, too, and the indecipherable foreign language vocals add another layer of intrigue to what is already a fascinating cut.

the nixwax white label series continues our commitment to global warming by releasing limited slices of petrochemicals imprinted with noise. the a-side takes no nonsense and gets straight down to business with a catchy vocal hook and a powerful bassline that demonstrates nisse nilsons ability to fill a dancefloor and keep the punters hungry. on the flip-side, ojsmooth filters the elements of the track to their most arresting while keeping the warmth of the bassline front and centre. classic ojsmooth: all juice, no bits.

shortly after the dust under bridges ep was released, henri sent us nine tracks which he had previously recorded to tape, not thinking that they were worthy of release. on the contrary, these are nine tracks of beautiful, brooding, leftfield house and techno, and we decided immediately that they ought to be available to the public, and that they formed a perfect appendage to halvtraks debut 12 inch release, dust under bridges, written, as they were, during the same period.
